How to Replace Brother Toner Cartridges
Since we did fax ribbon last week, we figure we’re on an instructional roll. So here’s how to replace the print cartridges:
1.If you aren’t sure whether you need to replace the ink, it should say on the display screen what needs to be refilled. Close the printer’s document tray.
2. Lift the printer cover until it rests in place.
3. Pull the Brother Toner Cartridge forward and remove the empty ink cartridge. This could get sloppy, so make sure that you have an empty garbage bag handy for disposal.
4. Open the new Brother Toners. If the cartridge cover comes off when you open it, it’s okay, the cartridge is still fine.
5. Keep the Brother Toner Cartridge upright when you insert it into the empty cartridge hole. It will fit and when snug, you can pull the hook over it and snap it into place.
6. When the LCD said “Near Empty” it will need verification as to whether a brand new Brother Toner Cartridge has been inerted. To reassure your printer press one when it asks if it was a new cartridge. This resets the ink dot counter.
That’s it! Enjoy!
